RPO M21 – Close-Ratio 4-Speed Manual Transmission
This option allows for quicker acceleration than the standard transmission.
RPO M22 – Heavy-Duty Close-Ratio 4-Speed Manual Transmission
Same as RPO M21, but designed for race-specific applications. This is a BKPE recommended option.

Options

RPO C48 – Heater Delete
Removes the heating system from the Camaro to save weight and increase performance. NOTE – This option is recommended for off-road-use-only vehicles due to most states requiring heating systems to pass their vehicle inspection.
RPO NC8 – Chamber Exhaust System
Exchange the standard dual exhaust system with a chamber exhaust system that allows freer-flowing exhaust to increase the performance and millage of the vehicle. This is a BKPE recommended option.

Trim

RPO Z23 – Special Interior
Adds bright pedal trim; faux woodgrain accents on the instrument cluster, dash board and steering wheel; and a dash-mounted grab bar and trim. Included in RPO Z87 – Custom Interior.
RPO Z87 – Custom Interior
Replaces the standard door panels with custom door panels with built-in arm rests, unique door opening mechanism, and carpeted lower section. Include special seats with custom upholstery in standard colors or a houndstooth color pattern, and rear seat arms rests with built-in ashtrays. Includes RPO Z23 – Special Interior. This is a BKPE recommended option.

Instrumentation

RPO U15 – Speed Warning Indicator
Allow the driver to set a dial at a chosen speed with a buzzer sounding if the driver exceeds that speed.
RPO U17 – Special Instrumentation
Replaces the center fuel gauge with fuel, amp meter, oil pressure and water temperature gauges located on the center console. Requires RPO D55 – Console. This is a BKPE recommended option.
RPO U35 – Electric Clock
Adds an analog electric clock to the instrument panel between the speedometer and tachometer. Requires both RPO D55 – Console and RPO U17 – Special Instrumentation.

RPO A31 – Power Windows
Adds the convenience of power windows to the Z-28.
RPO A67 – Fold Down Rear Seat
Allows the owner to fold down the rear seat back onto the rear seat bench, creating a shelf for additional storage space. NOTE – This option requires original, used GM parts of limited availability.
RPO D33 – Driver’s-Side Remote Controlled Side-View Mirror
Adds a joystick to the door panel that allowed the driver to control the side-view mirror from inside the vehicle.
RPO D34 – Driver’s Side Visor Vanity Mirror
Adds a vanity mirror to the inside of the driver’s side sun visor.
RPO D55 – Console
Adds a center console with storage bin and rear seat ashtray courtesy light. Includes faux wood grain trim on the steering wheel and instrument panel. This is a BKPE recommended option.
RPO N33 – Tilt Steering Column
Allows the driver to adjust the angle of the steering wheel for a more comfortable driving position.
RPO N34 – Rosewood Steering Wheel
Replaces the standard steering wheel with a faux wood grain steering for a more attractive appearance. Not available with RPO NK1 – Comfort Grip Steering Wheel
RPO NK1 – Comfort Grip Steering Wheel
Replaces the standard steering wheel with a steering wheel with a cushioned surface, allowing a more attractive appearance and a better surface with which to grip the wheel. Not available with RPO N34 – Rosewood Steering Wheel.

Replaces the unsightly standard seat belt buckles with more attractive, brushed buckles. Includes RPO ZK3 – Deluxe Front Shoulder Belts.

Adds shoulder harnesses with the deluxe belt buckles to the rear seats. Requires RPO A39 – Deluxe Front and Rear Lap Belts.

Adds an Antique Automobile Radio AM/FM “Blue Dot” Radio, an entertainment system that provides modern electronics in a package that mimics the original system. Includes Kenwood speakers mounted in the kick panels and a fender mounted telescoping antenna. This is a BKPE recommended option.

Adds a decorative metal strip to the trailing edged of each door to protect the door from dings when being opened.

Adds bumper guards to the front chrome bumper. Not available with RPO VE3 – Endura Bumper.
RPO VE3 – Endura Bumper
Replaces the chrome front bumper with a body-colored urethane-covered steel bumper. Not available with RPO V31 – Front Bumper Guards. This is a BKPE recommended option.
RPO Z21 – Style Trim Group
Adds bright headlight and parking light bezel moldings, wheel opening moldings, roof rail moldings and rocket panel moldings. Also includes black body sills regardless of exterior color. Included in RPO Z22 – Rally Sport Appearance Package
RPO Z22 - Rally Sport Appearance Package
Adds a unique grill with vacuum-actuated headlight covers, “Rally Sport” fender emblems and chrome back-up lights below the rear bumper. Includes RPO CE1 – Headlight Washer System and RPO Z21 – Style Trim Group.

Safety Options

RPO A01 – Tinted Glass
Replaces all of the glass with glass with a slight tint to reduce the glare caused by lights exterior to the vehicle.
RPO A02 – Tinted Windshield
Identical to RPO A01, but replaces only the front windshield glass. This is a BKPE recommended option.

Front License Plate Bracket
Options For states requiring vehicles be equipped with front license plates, this option equips the Z-28 with the bracket to attach the front license plate.
Spare Tire and Jack Equipment
Believing that many of our clients would remove the trunk-mounted spare tire equipment to save unnecessary weight, we have made the provision of the equipment optional.
