1967 BKPE MUSTANG CLASSIC FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:

Is the 1967 Mustang Classic a restored Mustang or a brand new vehicle?

A:

Aside from a handful of parts, which are only available as quality used parts, the 1967 BKPE Mustang Classic is a brand new automobile. It is partly for this reason, and partly because of the quality of our builds, that we can offer the only bumper-to-bumper warranty in the business.

Q:

Why do you use replacement bodies instead of original 1967 Mustang bodies?

A:

Simply put, it is cost, time and quality. Original 1967 Mustang bodies are over 45 years old, which means four plus decades of fatigue, corrosion and abuse. To restore such a body is time consuming and expensive, needlessly delaying delivery of our vehicles to our customers and increasing the price of our product. In addition, replacement bodies are made with modern techniques and quality controls. Comparing an original body to a replacement body makes it clear that the replacement body offers a superior platform from which we build these amazing cars.

Q:

Why did you choose to recreate only the Shelby and not the make it an option on a base vehicle mirroring the GT as you did for the 1965 and 1966 Mustang Classics?

A:

In our opinion, 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang is one of the best looking factory muscle cars ever produced. As it is our desire to offer our customers only the finest muscle cars, we chose to offer a great performer wrapped only in this iconic appearance package.

Q:

Can I order my Mustang Classic in colors other than what was originally available in 1967?

A:

Unfortunately, no. In the Mustang Classic, we set out to recreate a Mustang that was identical to the original on the inside and out. This necessarily means that we are limited in our color pallet to just those colors offered on the original Shelby model.

Q:

The original 1967 Ford Mustang offered many more options than are available on your 1967 Mustang Classic. Why is this?

A:

While it is true that you could choose from a large number of options back in 1967 on a regular Mustang, the Shelby model offered relatively few. Because of our desire to recreate an identical Mustang to the original, we only offer those options Ford did on the Shelby.

Q:

Why do you not provide an entertainment system as standard equipment?

A:

Original AM/FM stereo receivers are rare and expensive. Thus, we wanted to give our clients the opportunity to choose an original looking system or put that same money toward the hidden entertainment system by Sony.

Q:

Where do you put the Sony Hidden Entertainment System?

A:

The Sony Xplode receiver goes into the glove box, the front speakers are hidden under the dash, the subwoofer is hidden in the trunk and the rear speakers and amplifier are cleverly hidden below the rear package shelf.

Q:

I see that you offer Mustang Classics based on the 1965, 1966 and 1967 Mustangs. Can I get you to build me a Mustang Classics based on a 1968, 1969 or 1970 Mustang?

A:

Absolutely, though pricing will have to be determined at a time immediately prior to the sale. Simply let your PSR know during your initial telephone conversation that you wish to order a later year Mustang as the foundation for your Classic and we will get to work on the Mustang to your specifications.
